tall tree with bole up to 3-4' in diameter (Hannoa klaineana Pierre and Engl.). It is fast-growing; the wood is light and white and used for planks, canoes, etc. Medicinally the back is used for curing fevers (ịbà) by soaking pieces of it in water for some days and drinking the water, and by other ways of preparation
